Hello fellow Cupsters (or whatever we call ourselves),

I want to introduce myself; my name is Bruce from Denver CO. I registered here a couple months ago but have never posted before. I feel that I know some of you already from The Magic Café and reading posts here at CupsCon. I am friends with Tom Fenton. I am not new to magic, I have had an on off relationship with it for the past 30 or so odd years. I have always had a fascination with “The Cups and Balls,” though I am more comfortable with the “Chop Cup.” This will change soon.

I have always loved the Cups for their history in magic as well as their esthetics. Good or bad I can always appreciate a Cup for their appearance; they are like little works of art. I have collected a few Cups over the years, most are available to see at http://s297.photobucket.com/albums/mm227/BCSDenver along with some projects I have done. I enjoy making wands and little display boxes. This will branch out to more once I get some power tools.

I look forward to participating here and growing along with CupsCon, as it picks up momentum. And yes, I would more then likely travel wherever to attend our convention when it happens.

Welcome, welcome and . . . Welcome.

This forum is in a bit of a lull. Rannie, Sean and I are the only diehards I fear that still post very often. I know Rannie and I are both ardent performers of the routine. Sean may well be also, that's just never come up.

If you have a routine that is at any level of proficiency you should share a little video. I know Rannie's routine certainly inspired me. You can fine Rannie's routine easily on youtube.

Thanks guys for the welcome... as I stated the Chop Cup has been my thing. In between all my activities I have been studying Armar's book. I am not ready to post a video, however I sure enjoy some of the performances I have seen on You Tube.

It has been brought up on other forums, but what are your opinions on learning the Cups... books or DVDs. I have yet to purchase any magic DVDs what so ever.
