So I entered the 21st century and now have my first ipod; during the loading of music I came across an old James Taylor song from the album “In the Pocket,” it’s called “A Junkie’s Lament.” It made me think of all us Cup Junkies… instead of singing the lyrics “Ricky’s been kicking the gong.” I have been singing “Ricky’s been clinking the Cup.” … look up the lyrics it will make sense.

No lapping, is right! The hollow ones sound better. Of course, if you wanted to let the audience pick one up after your final load, the solid, heavy ones would be impressive.
I've had some folks think the final loads were compressed, like sponge balls. They seem to think it's not magic if you just squeezed it in, instead of producing it out of thin air.
I've watched Paul Gertner on YouTube. Very impressive. I'm glad to hear you're trying it. I don't know anybody else that uses steel balls. We all like quiet stuff that doesn't give it away.
Good luck!

Bruce,
Will we be seeing you on YouTube soon?
A JUNKIE'S LAMENT
James Taylor
Ricky's been kicking the gong
Lickety split didn't take too long
A junkie's sick
A monkey's strong
That's what's wrong
Well, I guess he's been messing around downtown
So sad to see the man losing ground
Winding down behind closed doors
On all fours
Mama, don't you call him my name
He can't hear you anymore
And even if he seems the same to you
That's a stranger to your door
Ask him what's he come here for
Oh my God, a monkey can move a man
Send him to hell
And home again
With an empty hand in the afternoon
Shooting for the moon
It's halfway sick
And it's halfway stoned
He'd sure like to kick
But it's too far gone
They wind him down with the methadone
He's all on his own
But baby, don't you throw your love away
I hate to seem unkind
It's only that I understand the man
That the monkey can leave behind
I used to think he was a friend of mine

Tom,
I don’t think you will be seeing me on youtube, but my newest album “All the Cups I Love and the Few I Hate (Greatest Hits),” will be in stores soon.

Black Fox makes some large peas for the shell game that will work with these cups. There are also some dense foam balls that are used for paintball practice that will work fairly well.
I have a few sets that are going to be ready for Christmas gifts, so if you have friends who do the cups and balls, these may be the gift for them. I'll throw in some load balls, as well.

BTW, if you do order a set of the cups and you want me to include a set of load balls, please be sure to let me know.
