I really like the new version of the routine. It looks much cleaner (now I have NO idea how it's done). This routine is really inspiring. It makes me want my routine to be PERFECT rather than just "good enough."

Matt, Thanks lad. Keep working on your own stuff!

Gary, how do we start the illustration thing. I'm up for it.

Whoever made my sidebar say f*cking showoff, that's too cool. I may start using that as a stage name!

The CupsCon team is glad you liked it, but the hats off goes to DaveV our Web Master. Who with out him this whole site could not work the way it does.

Thanks again Dave.

I would gladdy fix that, but i am not the one to talk with. You must plead your case to another member of the CupCon team.

I am sure you know who to ask. Grin

Kent,

I know you talked about an update to your routine.

How you updated your ebook or a new video?

Kent,
Your using Sherwood cups. Do you use the 1 1/8" Sherwood balls? I can't tell from your video.
And how much of your routine was driven by a desire to just produce 3 balls on top of a cup? This is a rarely peformed stunt and your motivation for this must have been intentional.

That routine of yours looks better every time I watch it Kent.

Superb routine in fact, you have my heartiest congratulations and my jealousy!

Don,

I was not motivated by the display at all. I've only recently figured out how to get it to work every time. (LIFT STRAIGHT UP)

I do like the display very much though. I think it is a nice last effect, building towards the final reveal of the loads.

The balls are standard issue Sherwoods, 1 and an eighth inches, as you surmised.

Tom,

Where's that email address, laddie? No reason to be jealous. You didn't have to waste two years of your life mucking about trying to come up with a sequence. Coming soon to a YouTube near you is a new version with a new gaffus and a snappier routine.

Just yesterday I started reading FEINTS & TEMPS OF HARRY RISER by ED BROWN. I turned immediately to Harry Riser's Cups and Balls routine in the book and find that he produces a display of 3 balls on the saddle of a cup. His cups are the Charlie Miller type (sometimes called Riser type). To my recollection, this is the first time I've actually seen this in a printed routine. So you're in good company!
Unfortunately, I can't give more details about the routine than that - I got side-tracked by a fantastic Okito Coin Box routine that kept me up late...

Don,

Go back and read Riser's routine. You'll see his routine was the starting point for my routine. We had him lecture for us two years ago in SF. He's even older than me by a year or two. That man can do the snot out of the cups and balls!!

KG,
That makes sense. As soon as I saw the production of 3 balls on the saddle in his routine, it reminded me of yours! I might get to it next weekend. Cool that you met him. He is a classic. I'm jealous.
I'm still hung up on the Okito Coin Box routine right now though... you got to pick your battles.
