Hey guys I'm new here (and to practasing and performing cups and balls), looking foward to being part of the community and learning!
You may remember me from such forums as; The Cafe, Penguin or AM, mainly.
Here are my cups, they really stink compared to all your cups, but, I really do not have a clue what types of cups they are, I got them from Fantasma about a year ago for $30. Anyone know?
I'd also like to know what cups are not too expensive, but are nice and will last me a while. I like the look of Uriels FP's, but not sure how much they cost, and may be out of my pricerange. To get nice cups for a decent price, I'l also look around for buying cups at the swap meet and the cafe buying and selling forums, (and also sites).
Thanks!
Paul.

Hey paul,
Good to see new folks around. Those look like Morrissey cups to me, I think. As far as getting good cups, focus on getting a good routine first. Those cups you have are fine. If you really need to check out something go to RnT2, they have a link up top, they're your best bet for good cups. Just go to the site and look, everything looks awesome. May the force be with you, sir.

Thanks Eddie, Uriel said they looked like Morrisey too.
I've got a solid routine I want to work on now. I'm not going to go buying loads of different cups because these ones are fine for practasing, but I'm thinking Christmas is drawing near and I may have a new found love for C&B, so wich cups to go for if I do like it.
But I agree, IT'S NOT THE CUPS... ITS HOW YOU USE THEM. Also, it's not the wand and balls, its how you use them! LOL.

While the standard seems to be Paul Fox cups, I've never been very fond of them.

These are inexpensive, they look nice, won't dent like your aluminum cups and anything from RnT2 is well made. I'm not a big fan of cups with center beads but if it works for you (as it does for most) then these look awesome.

Wow thanks for searching for me, those look amazing!
Sadly, the highest price Il spend on cups right now will be $100. So maybe If I can pick up some used ones somwhere would be cool, if their are no new good-uns for $100.

Fine! I'm gonna put you on to this. Some people say these are beginners cups but these are the only cups I use, I love them with a passion. They're also quite cheap

Yeah, they have some good inexpensive aluminum sets but I was looking for something sturdier for you, as you already have an aluminum set. They do have that set in copper, it's just a whole lote more than what you have to spend. Nothing wrong with saving up until you've got the money for that expensive set, your cups will work fine. Then as you said, Christmas is around the corner, nothing wrong with starting to hint now.

Hi Paul,
Welcome to CupsCon, I am glad you are here and posting. I returned to magic this year after a long absence and I have caught Cup Fever. I have always done a Chop Cup routine and this time around I am learning the Cups and Balls. I started with the routine from Mark Wilson and I am working on the Vernon Routine. Which routine do you follow?
Your Cups look fine to me though I understand the desire for something different. I don’t know if they are still there but over at The Magic Café, frank was selling off his Johnson Products cups for $150, this was for the 3 Cup set and a matching Chop Cup. I think they are great Cups.
Good luck to you,
Bruce

Hi, Paul
Warm welcome to you
Your cups look similar to morrisey
You could try Morrisey cup in copper... I'm not sure about exact price but I'm pretty sure they're belom $100
But if you could spend a little bit more, why don't get good quality cups which will last almost forever
Cheers
Andre

Your cups are fine. You may like heavier cups though as they feel more secure to use. My first set were brass El Duco cups and I did two yrs with them .Now they lie at the bottom of a river.
Next I had a set of large copper flower pots Steve Elvay gave me. They were great. Then I made the Animal cup and now I use the Babe. Personally I think even three plastic beakers will do. I like the look of copper and I love a bit of weight . I would decide on your final loads before deciding on a set. No point buying Gazzo's if you are loading hard boiled eggs. Try to get a cup that only just takes the load as it looks better.
Do not do the cups in the nude even if Gazzo does beg you .

Why not? I've done the cups in the nude. They were cold... cold and heartless.
