Your ordering one of those wands?! Congratulations my friend, that is probably the nicest looking wand I've ever seen! It clearly shows that he also makes pool sticks just by the look of the wand. How much does it cost?

I haven't ordered anything yet, I wrote to TW and was told to wait until after Jan - I got no quote from him, so I have no idea what the cost is going to be. I should really talk to Ranni first though, The Boss is a good member here and all... I do want a wand with sterling silver tips though.

Etienne,
I make my own wands, its fun and they are more special that way.  The wands that I use the most are in photo 1. They are made from oak. They don’t scratch the Cups like the metal tip wands do.

Mike,
Try making a wand fro oak, I think you will find it heavier then walnut.

Thanks,
Bruce

Bruce, the wand is actually made from Walnut and Maple wood. I took Walnut, and cut it into thin, long, rectangular pieces (5 of them), and I took Maple and cut it into equal, thin, long pieces. I glued the pieces together so they alternate in color with a Walnut center, put it on a lathe, and rounded it. I didn't like it before, but now I think it looks pretty good. I'll try to post some pictures later.

DDecae, what ever happened with that wand? Are you going to get it?

Hi Mike,
I've been busy, busy, busy and haven't gotten back to TW about that wand... congrats on your gold cups status. I'm jealous.

I just had to catch up to Bruce.  Wink Bruce, I'll post some pictures of the wand later. I've been busy lately. I just got in the Gazzo Street Cups book and DVD, they're PACKED with information. I don't know when I'll get through all of it!  Cheesy I'm also working on a mini project; anyone familiar with Magic Makers Street cups (and normal cups) will know that the insides are an uneven, black color ( on brass too.  Huh?) This is the result of the insides not being finished. Basically, the cups just look terrible on the insides. I've been busy sanding the insides with 320 grit sandpaper; the results are fantastic! I've saved on cup to do a before and after shot, the difference is incredible. Anyway, just thought I'd let you guys know what I've been working on.

Mike… cool, you know how I like pictures. I can’t wait to see the wands and what you do with the MM Cups. I hope that they turn out well for you.

Take care,
Bruce

Sad news, they're finished. I only snapped one before picture, but I don't think it came out well; instead, I'll try and get you to picture it: The cups are finished brass on the outside, and on the inside, it's just plain, blotchy, uneven in color, and literally black. It took me a while to sand (and a lot of sandpaper) but I finally got it done, but there were a few spots that the sand paper couldn't reach (the indents on the insides of the beads) so I used a tile cleaner to finish the job. They actually look pretty good. Now I'm finishing polishing the outsides and insides with Brasso. I'll post some pictures soon. How does one go about loading pictures onto Photobucket? Do I use a USB cord or something?

Hi Mike,
Most cameras come with a USB port on them and a USB cable.
Once you connect the USB cable to the camera and plug it into the PC, the PC usually pop up a box and asks you what you want to do. These days most cameras are just recognized as removable storage and no additional drivers are needed.
If your camera stores pictures on a SD or XD card, then you need an SD or XD card reader.
You should look at the instruction manual that came with your camera. Since I am a mind reader, I know it's new  Wink
Then, copy the pictures to your PC and then upload them to PhotoBucket or Flickr or some other photo sharing service where you have an account.

Hey Jeremy, welcome to CupsCon!

That is a great looking wand! Ebony, nice. Just out of curiosity, what do people say when you have a bullet on the tip of your wand? Who is your major influence with cups?

          Nice meeting you,
