The patter is definitely not for me either, even though I'm Catholic as well. This guy seemed a little uncomfortable and unpracticed with his patter, which was probably modified to fit the "church" theme. It was good, very close to Paul's, yet unique. I only heard talking a few times, and it was nothing major. Thanks for the link Etienne.

It's best to count on your fingers; base 10.  I'm 57 and Kent must be 51, if I did my calculations right.

About the Christian themed cup routine posted before: Wouldn't it had made more sense to end the routine with... well fruit? I also don't know what the middle part where he explains how it works had to do with the message trying to be conveyed. It's fine to do someone else's routine but fruit really would've worked better with his patter. Nonetheless, it's nice to see a live audience enjoying a cup routine.

You know Eddie, it would've made 100% more sense if he'd ended with fruit. He could've even used berries as the balls. I think the problem with him is that he was probably asked to do this thing for a church, and he accepted, but he probably isn't a regular church performer. He probably didn't put any thought into his routine, and just changed the patter a little. You can tell that that wasn't his regular patter, it was very awkward to listen to. You're right though, I actually didn't think of that before, the steel balls don't make sense in his routine like they do in Paul's routine. Justification is everything. Thanks.

As stated in my review when I got these cups there wasn't a bag included with the Paul Fox logo on it. This fact rested in my mind until I saw on the green room that there was a source for the bags. Needles to say I took the jump and ordered some bags to go with the mini and the regular PF cups. WOW, I just received them yesterday and they look wonderfull.

Donnie did an excellent job on them and they were delivered within a week to the Netherlands. It was a pleasure doing business with Don and I will go back to him soon.

The one on the left is a purple velvet bag (which I thought was black, but turning it into the sun there was a deep purple shine on them) for the regular and the one on the right is a black velvet bag with silver velvet lining for the mini cups.

A job well Don(e).

Thanks Donnie

I did the same and I am very appreciative that Don made them available us. I also got some embroidered bags with my initials and I am very pleased with those too. Don is rated first rate in my book.

Thank you my friends, I am blushing!
I will provide embroidered bags with the PF Monogram to anyone who has an RNT2 set of PF cups or PF Mini cups. I don't want to sell them on the website as I'm afaid some folks would add them to the MM knock-offs and then advertise them on ebay or something as RNT2 PF Cups.
It should be easy enough for an owner of RNT2 PF cups to show proof of purchase, but it's even easier if you are a member of CupsCon - I kind of just instinctually trust you!
Needless to say, the bags are automatically included with purchases of any new PF brand cups.

So, I kind of missed this thread in the past and just read thru the whole thing. Etienne review of the cups was very good and Astro, you obviously appreciate and respect the cups. That's right, I'm just calling you Astro! You should not care about Astroboy, or Astro the dog from the Jetsons. That is a great name. If you really wanted to mix it up you could go with:
Kid Astro, Astro Man, Astro Dude, Astro the Astonishing
Following the astronomical theme, you could go with Quazar, Quark, Neutrino, Sputnik, or even Liaka.

Also, I love seeing ANYONE attempt to perform Gertner's routine. It's a complicated and specialized routine and I've often wondered if there were students of the routine that actually mastered it or not. The performer in the video did a terrific job with it, including the noise subtleties, and the load production was killer. I think you guys were a little too hard on him in your reviews. I'm not a person of faith and I found it entertaining, but that's because I am a person of CUPS and really appreciate anyone who takes the time to master such a complicated routine, no matter what the patter is!

But Etienne, the weather is going to get better soon... still considering hitting the streets and doing some busking? I hope you've seen Jamie Grant's video on his busking debut in Vancouver during the 2010 Winter Olympics - it is inspirational.

Donnie,

I am still working on the Gertner routine, however it will take some time. I am working this from scratch, I don't own a book or dvd from Paul. When permits it I will continue on it but it will take a while.

The busking thing will also take a while, currently I am selling off most of my props so that I can visit your store again. I will hold on to some decks of cards, some sponges and coins. I have my eye on some items I want in my inventory although I have cups to last me a lifetime (darn that cupfever Grin).
I have my eye on the PF chick cups and/or Foxy 3 cups. I did see the video of Jamie, I thought he did very well.
