I'm sure we've all seen lots of videos of C&B on the Internet.

Well, there I was, goofing off at work, and found a video of a young lady doing a very nice C&B routine. My favorite part was when she tosses a ball off the table, around 1:10 into the video!

Anyhow, I can't understand a word she says, but it's a good routine with lots of final loads.

Personally, I didn't really care for it. The routine is too busy, and she isn't very proficient with her sleights in my opinion. Her final loading is pretty good, but she ruined the whole routine with that rabbit thing at the end.

Dude!!!

I love the rabbit thing!! I've seen this before. Rabbit/Confetti, very nice looking lady . . .

I think it is GREAT.

I'd rather watch this routine than the VAST majority of people doing Vernon's routine or Ammar's routine as written from their works.

I kind of enjoyed it… but the rabbit has to go!
She pushed it too much with that.

I don't mean to sound sexist or anything, but I have never really seen any female magician who I like to watch for magic reasons Wink For some reason, female magicians always seem to lack in my opinion either flow, presentation delivery, or there ability to entertain. This is just a generalization though. I also felt that this routine was confusing and too strange with the loads. And of course, the rabbit shot out of a cannon has to go; it was pathetic, and I think the crowd thought so too. Nothing against her though.

I think she performed it very well. I do agree however that there's a little too much going on. The final loads start to lose their luster after number 4.

Here's my favorite Indian C&B routine. The magician seems very friendly. I like the way he interacts with the audience.

You guys are JADED. This routine is fantastic. It's got Paul Gertner elements in it and so much more. Totally unconventional - it's Cups and BELLS for Christ's sake. How can you NOT be intrigued by this. I wonder WHO she worked with on developing this???
Sure, it's made for video, and must be done seated, but WOW is this different. AND she's hot!

And if you are interested in the world of Indian magicians I highly recommend Lee Siegel's book NET OF MAGIC - it's a fantastic read. The author takes you on a journey into the homes and families of Indian street magicians. Did you know, they are BORN into it... and the craft is a family tradition handed down from generation to generation among the men? Lots of difference of opinion! That's good.

DDecae, thanks for the link to the Net of Magic. That looks interesting.

The young lady in the first video is Kate Medvedeva from Russia.

Personally, I found the routine to be entertaining and original.

Right Tom, it's Kate Medvedeva and the routine is Cups and Bells.
Those buildings she produces in the end appear to be reproductions of Cathedrals in St. Petersburg, and the bells remind me of Tobias' manipulation routine.
I'm so happy I saw this routine today... it makes me feel... warm all over! And you really should check out her ring and ribbon routine on You Tube as well, it is fanastic. She's a crowd pleaser.
