I don't think I would paint any C&B sets.....I suggest, if you are using cheap cups, that you beat them up really good with a stick to give them character....opie

Opie,
I tried painting a set of Morrissey cups. I like the way they look, but they don't stack as well anymore. I guess the paint is too thick. Overall, it's probably best not to paint your cups.
Here's the before and after:

Thanks for the welcome....
Nothing personal, but your Morrissey cups now look less than they could be with normal wear and tear.....
I play around more with chop cups than C&B sets, so all my cups look like new.....Every time I make a decent-looking Chop Cup, somebody gets away with it.....Palmer has one of my cups in his collection, but he had to pay for it....haha...
You really need to see Bill's presentations on Cups and Balls....

You're right about the Morrissey cups. I painted them because they were a little scratched. It was the middle of winter. I was bored, and had a can of spray paint in my hand.
I haven't seen Bill's presentation, but his C&B Museum website is amazing!

Bruce,
For some reason "By Bruce Smith" seems to have vanished from the article page on this, my apologies. It's still on the previous menu but it looks like the gremlins got into the main page! I'll go in and fix it right now!
