Hey Bri... never say never, I figure I have at least another 20 years to catch up with Bill (a boy can dream).

All have a great weekend!

RNT2 Monti Copper Cups:

To add to Tom’s fine review on the Monti Cups, I would like to share a brief back ground of the Cups. In the 1970’s Harry Monti (Montieth) designed a set of Cups that became quite popular for their size and shape. It has become a mainstay Cup for the original RNT and RNT2 companies. These Cups have been produced in many metals, copper, brass, aluminum and as Tome has gun metal. Other versions of the Monti Cups are the Bells of ST Mary, a bronze chromed version that is said to ring like a bell and combo versions made of copper, brass and aluminum.

The Monti Cups have become a true classic of Cup design. They are probably the most copied Cup by other manufactures. RNT2 is the only manufacturer authorized to make the Monti Cups.

Copper Monti Cups-

Originally they were issued with 1” balls; this was later changed to 7/8’ balls allowing them to stack three balls-

The Monti Cups will accommodate a lacrosse ball for a final load-

These are truly great Cups, scoring high for their classic design (like a blue blazer that never goes out of style), workable size and ability to handle a fairly large load. I am sure that the Monti Cups will make a rotation into my workers Cups. Now the question is…. Do I let them turn or stay shiny.

Tom… thanks for letting me add to your great review,
Bruce

Tom, Bruce,

Excellent review, love the pics. Great looking cups. These will never make it to my collection. I simply don't like the single bead.

Thanks guys,

Etienne

Bruce,

I'm glad you posted the history of the Monti cups and your photos. That was very interesting. I had no idea! Now we have reviews in two different metals. Thanks for adding it to mine.

Etienne,

I don't have any cups with more than a single bead. I'll have to buy some with a double bead.

Happy cupping,
Tom

Andre.... the balls that come with the Johnson Cups are pretty small. I plan to do a write up on comparing many PF style Cups. I am just waiting for some other Cups to show up.

Thanks,
Bruce

Tom… thanks for letting me add to what you started. I think that it is cool how we can all comment on all the different Cups. Just think of all the information we are leaving behind for all the new Cupsters.

Take care,
Bruce
