Okay... so I took delivery of the above set of cups and wondered if it was all hype or not...

Does everyone go on and on about Sherwood cups because they dare not go against the grain?  Are they really that special?   Could they be that special....?

The boring answer is yes! I love 'em and they are staying polished, I don't care for the look of tarnishing brass...

They are a great weight, around 6.5oz so they feel solidand weighty,  Ilove heavy cups myself.

The cups easily take 3 1" (actually 1 1/8") balls on the saddle without floating and a tennis ball final load fits beautifully.

I praticularly like rounded top cups and these fit the bill really well, these are keepers.

There are some pics at:

Bri, they look amazing!

The only thing I think that you might have misunderstood is that most people say to use the Smooth Sherwoods for practice, and the Engraved for important performances. I haven't heard people say to practice with different cups and perform with Sherwoods, but maybe you have heard people say that. Anyway, great review. I look forward to the video.

Mike, I think you might be right Smiley  Thanks Smiley I think I'll have to adjust the review when I get home.

If only I could afford to do that, for now 1 set of Sherwoods will have to do me!
