I am into history too… when I go o museums I always try to imagine who might have handled an item; it can be fun.

“The Cups of the Greats” is one of my favorite parts of TC&BM… oh hell, all the parts are my favorite.

Here's another titbit about the Paul Fox cups. I learned from a fellow who has access to Paul Fox's archives that the first Paul Fox cups were given to friends roughly January or February of 1937. This means they were first made in 1936.

I thought that I would add to this posting showing some additional Magic INC “Laurie Ireland “ type Cups...

Left to Right, Original Laurie Ireland Cups, Commemorative Laurie Ireland Cups and current Magic INC Cups...

Commemorative Laure Ireland Cups spun in Copper; originally they had a protective coating that I removed and I put them through the “Instant Patina” process. I am very happy with how they turned out...

Magic INC Cups spun in Aluminum; they are really not a bad set of Cups for around $25.00 USD. They are still a little on the light side for my taste, however they feel good to the hand and have that classic shape...

While I am at it, here are some photos of some other Traditionally shaped Cups made by “The Village Tinner,” http://www.etsy.com/shop/TheVillageTinner . Winn is a great guy and a true craftsman.

Replicas of Cups from a French Magic set, they are made of Brass with an antique finish...

Another set of replicas fashioned after turn of the century Street Cups; they are made of tin with an antique finish...

Thanks,
Bruce
