Sexy mouth bead! The saddle looks quite recessed too.  I like it a lot!

I have been playing with it and I'm going to take a fraction of a mm off the diameter . Its a tad looser on the stack than I'd like so I'll bring the mouth in a touch . All in all I think the Crash Invader is a great cup. Richard Evans spells Crash Invader when you shuffle the letters. I like it better than the love cup

Ha! I was wondering where the name came from!  Genius.  I like the way my love cups stack.  They are very nice due to the bead shaping.

Okay the cup so far. It was to loose on the stack and I felt bigger than it needs to be for a tennis ball load. Also the bit above the top bead was to short . So I have taken about 1mm of the diameter and moved the beads back towards the mouth by 2mm. It stacks better now and looks better but I still feel some further changes are required. its very close now to Richard's  drawing. Still I might as well get it right. I have about twenty ali test spins so far. I'll put up a pick later. You will see that the beads are to proud and need taking back a tad. now i have lots of gigs in Dec and I'm away for the rest of this week doing some stuff in welly. Really hoping to have a full test set by the end of next week..

Okay the story so far. If you click on the link you'll see three ali crash invaders. The first on the left is the one with the nice mouth bead. The cup was a tad to big. The second cup is the better size. However I hated the even height above the beads and below. From the top of the top bead to the rim from the top bead is almost the same. On Richard's drawing its very close to the golden section. Hence cup three ,which is much nearer to the drawing. I'll live with it over night and check it against the drawing. It may need a tad more height above the bead- what do you think. esp. you Richard.

the cup on the right is the latest made today. I have made it taller above the beads. It's very close to Richards drawing

Okay i've lived with it and now I'm going to make the first set in Ali as a full test. These will be sent to Richard to look at so any changes can be made before going to copper. I hope to have the first copper set off to Richard before the Boeing 787 flies. Richard the Ali prototype set will be heading your way in about a week. I'll send it via an Airbus as they work.

Okay Mr Richard Evans could you please email me your address as I cannot find it
magictwit@hotmail.com.  I have a prototype set to send you .they stack well but one has a smaller skirt and onw has bigger beads etc. You can play with them and tell which if any you like best. I feel the beads could be a we less high. I'm also sending an earlier design I liked. These can be made smaller or bigger or shorter or longer . The top dent can be bigger or smaller. I'm going to re make the chuck in nylon once we decide. these were spun on maple which I hate spinning. Maple wood makes dust when you you turn it nylon does not and it lasts a lot longer.
Check them with a tennis ball and tell me if you want them tighter or looser . The cups could be a lot shorter if you wish, Will include a short one for you to look at. I have not gone to town on the finish on these .
You can post your thoughts here if you wish.
