This year's Tax refund has been nice to me and with that being said I took the plunge and ordered a set of Copper Engraved Cups and a set of Jade Green/Gold Deluxe Manipulation Balls to compliment them from Brett. Whew! That was a mouth full!

I received an E-mail from Brett and he informed me that the money was received safely and that when he returns home in 2 days he will promptly ship them out. Does anyone here know how long it'll take to receive the parcel from him? I live in Florida USA...

I can't wait to receive them Woo Hoo!!

Best regardz,

Dom… that’s pretty cool you have engraved Sherwoods on the way. I hope that you post photos and write a review on them… I will have to experience them through others for now.

I hope that you can wait… you sound pretty wild there with your Woo Hoo.

My Copper set came in less than 2 weeks.  I would suggest that you take pictures as soon as the box arrives.  I have never had cups arrived packed the way that Brettt Sherwood packs them.  Enjoy!

Here's an update: Brett shipped out my cups sans the bag (he was out of stock and opted to send the bag later instead of delaying my order any longer) on the 18th of this month...

It's been a long week and he said it would take 7-10 days to reach me. Still waiting patiently... with luck maybe it'll be here today.  Undecided

Dom… Is your mail man creeped out yet as you give him the eye looking for your Sherwood package? We are all happy for you and hope that they arrive quickly… you need to post the pictures of them so we can pretend to handle them until we have our sets one day.

This past weekend I was away visiting family. I previously e-mailed Brett worried about my cup order and he reassured me all was well and to wait paitiently a few days more. I returned home yesterday (Sunday) and as I neared my home I thought to myself that maybe this would be the day!

Much to my surprise and glee a small brown cardboard box sat on the dining room table along with one other letter for me. It was the longawaited package! Woohoo! My roomate signed for the package on Saturday. I hurriedly went to my room and broke out my Canon to document the opening of my long anticipated order from across the pond!

I had heard that Brett's packaging is meticulous with attention payed to providing safe passage from the UK to the USA. I must say everything is true of that testament. The pics will show exactly that.

My first imppession of the cups after carefully removing all the styrofoam pellets, bubblewrap, plastic sheets and tape was: these babies are heavy and shiny! I planned to let them patina naturally but they look beautiful in their naturall state of brilliance! Makes me think should I keep them shiny with some coats of Renaissance wax or allow them to patina naurally?

The second thing that caught my eye is the reddish /coppery color of the cups, they look stunning. Pictures do not give them justice as they need to be seen live and up close to appreciate their beauty & color. The third impression was how nice the cups stack/nest. They are the epitome of how cups have to be designed IMHO! Kudos to Mr. Sherwood's expertise in this regard! The last impression is the engraving design...I love it! It's the icing to the cake and it is sweet!  Ah, wait a minute I almost forgot, the spaced out double rings of the cup design complement my hands perfectly!

After admiring the cups for a spell, I broke out my Mitutoyo Digital Micrometer to do some measuring. The cups stand approx.at 2.856" (2 7/8") in length, 2.673" (2 11/16" ) diameter at  the mouth. A regulation tennis ball fits with room to spare. The saddle diameter is about 1.856" and saddle dimple is about .226". I was surprised the the saddle does indeed alow a 3 ball nest with the 1.125" diameter balls and the cups nest with the 3 balls with no problem!

I have no way of weighing the cups but they are heavy and solidly built, Brett's website states that they weigh 6.5 ozs and I believe they may weigh slightly more.

I opted to complement the cups with Brett's working balls in Jade Green/Silver color and they are beautiful! The balls have a heavy/rubbery feel to them and they do bounce! The crochet work is immaculate and the color is stunning with the silver highlights. I am glad/happy that I ordered this color.

All the standard sleights (slide off, fako, galloping post, etc.) are a joy to perform with these cups and posed no problems. The sound of the cups nesting reassures you that these are premium quality products that will last a lifetime and beyond! It's hard to keep your hands off these beauties...I enjoy holding them so these cups will quickly become my go to cups in no time at all!

All I need is the monogrammed bag to arrive to make them complete. Brett will send it when they are back in inventory. In the meanwhile I don't need the bag as I will be playing with these babies for a while!  Grin

Enjoy the pics>>>

Dom,
I've seen actual stripteases that were less seductive than your series of photos.

I now need a cold shower!
Well done.

Wow Dom,  looking good!  I chose the same balls (and final load balls) for my copper smooths but I think they look even better with the engraved cups.
