OMG, and you didn't think that the 2.5's could be improved!!!

Tell your Mrs / Girlfriend's they are good for your sex life?  "Honey, buy me some and I'll **** ya!" Wink

Yeah, these look great!

I posted a similar thread on the cafe, but not many people responded. So i'll respond here.

I like them alot, and just added them to my list!

So these cups look really similar to cups that vernon used, or at least the picture used on the cover of some of his books.  Is there a story here?

If you mean Vernon Chronicles then I believe you are thinking about the Porper cups.  The Porper cups seem to be based on the old Stanley cups which were made to sell at the lecture tour that Vernon did.

I have a set in aluminium, they were also made in copper and some were sold with engraving (not the 2 sets of engraved cups vernon had smuggled in though, those are based on Paul Fox cups.)

I have always said that the Foxy 2.5's are what the Stanley cups should have been.  I like them but they are limited (at least for my needs)

There's a comparison here: http://www.cupsandballsmagic.com/Supreme-Dumpy-Foxy-2.5-&-Harry-Stanley-Comparison.html

There are some cocobolo Porper cups here: http://www.cupsandballsmagic.com/Joe-Porper-Cocobolo-Cups.html

Brandon… Welcome to Cupscon!!!

Yes the new Foxy 3’s are another outstanding Cup from RNT2… Way to go Don! To me it seems there are only a limited number of rings or shapes a good Cup can have; I totally agree with Bri, these are what the Stanley Cups should have been.

I wonder what will become of their popularity, will they equal the sales of Mendoza Cups or pass them in years to come.

I was disappointed at first when I clicked on the link. I guess I was expecting something different. I don't know why, I knew what they were going to look like after talking to Donnie a couple of moths ago. I'm a combo man, I like to have options. I will be getting a set, I just don't know what finish to get.. I remember when I got the 2.5's they were my favorite cups. My girlfriend said they looked small, but with the wave of the wand I produced a tennis ball, her mouth hit the floor. She couldn't believe the tennis ball would fit. Donnie keep up the good work.

P.S. Where are these art pictures you were talking about Donnie "Cups and Models"

The only way to fool the girlfriend is sneaking cups in the house without her seeing or getting aaway with...  "Nah, they were only $50..."

Bri… thanks for the review, what great Cups they appear to be. I am m also in agreement that Don has done a great job and has created what will be another classic Cup. Do you think they will become the standard for Combo Cups as the Mendoza Cups are?

I am still waiting for Don to come out with a slightly larger PF style combo set.

Bruce,

I hope they become a classic, they are in my mind anyway!  They certainly deserve to be....
