Does anyone here use a pop-eyed popper deck? I have a new one that Marty Grams made for me (Q-Hearts), but since Marty makes these by hand, there are no printed instructions.

I'm not a very good card Magician, so my Magical library doesn't have very many card Magic books in it. It's not in any of those few books that I have.

I will be glad to service re-string a reel for anyone that has a set of the Pop-Eyed Popper instructions that could scan and send me a copy of by e-mail. Just PM me here and I'll send my e-mail address and my home address if you'd like to take me up on my offer of a free reel servicing (all you will need to do is pay the postage from you to me and back, about $4.00-5.00 total for most any reel)

I re-build reels pretty darn well. I clean, lubricate, replace the card-stock pads (if necessary), and install Teflon disks in reels to quiet them down another notch. I also primarily use braided silk suture (#0000/4) as replacement line. It's almost invisible and almost as strong as Kevlar line. I like it because it makes very little line-hum under load and is always very soft and supple, with no "Curlies" like monofilament line. I have mono line too, for those that desire it.

So if you have the instructions I need, I'll do a complete service on one reel for free. I repair Swedish Reels, P&L, Tannen's. Kirkendall, Breese, Repro, and other brands. I don't work on any Chinese reels.

Thanks,

PS: Sorry that this message is not cup-related. This seemed the right area to ask this off topic question.

Thank you Bruce. The instructions are marvelous.

If anyone knows of a book or booklet with more info on the "Pop-Eyed Popper deck, please let me know. I'll go search for it and if I can, buy it/them.

Dsalley… you are welcome…There is a routine in one of the Routined Manipulation books; I can’t remember which volume that I used the deck with. I will try to find it for you.
