Got back from vacation to find my new Sherwood smooth copper cups and a busker pouch from the Ambitious Card in my mailbox.
It's hard to contain that kind of excitement, even in public, but it's nice to know that things can still generate that kind of reaction.
It didn't take long for my grubby paws to get little patina going on them but I'm still a little apprehensive to bang a wand on them and start the wear and tear process. I know it's only a matter of time, though.
The pouch is so much more well made than what I had been using for the last decade or so that I was quite surprised. LOVE that leather smell and had a lot more going on in its construction than anticipated. I highly recommend the fine craftsmanship that goes into one of Frank's pouches.
I only wish I'd invested in one MUCH sooner.
Man, things sure are quiet here in this forum lately.

Congrats Jasper!  Which pouch did you get?  I have the Jimmytalksalot pouch and it's very nice.
Yeah, it is VERY quite here these days...

Hey Jasper… Congratulations on your new stuff (I am truly happy when we all get new stuff). You are so right, it is quiet around here… hopefully everyone has had a good vacation and all is well getting the kids off to school. Maybe with the cooler weather coming down the road we will all get a chance to play Cups again. There have been a few new members that have joined… it would be good to hear from them.

yeah, it's one of Frank's busker's pouches. The main pocket is lined with some sort of satin-like material. It has extra little pockets at the sides as well as one hidden zippered pocket behind for things like all the twenty dollar bills you'll get while busking. hehe
I had this one made to fit my wider renaissance faire costume belt and I'm thrilled the brown color matched the rest of my stuff so well.
The pouch is big enough to load oranges out of as well as a coconut size hat load.
I'm still getting used to that style of loading out of the front in a classical street style. Pretty much a given if you do larger loads, etc.
I'm taking it to Europe next week! Maybe I'll get the nerve to do some street shows in costume.
I'd post pics but I've never used a hosting site to link to.

I've always felt more comfortable with my pouch on my hip, loading from the side rather than the front.  Thinking about it now, it may be because I an used to loading from my pockets...?

Well, OK the busker pouch and Sherwood cups got their first street performance in yesterday.
In the shadow of Paris' musee d'art moderne I squeezed in about half a show before the weather started getting rough.
People came up and asked what I was doing before I was even set up, so it was a couple of quick tricks and right to the cups.
Pouch works well outdoors. performance went decent with a good ending, but my french is sad, so it was about 75% silent.
Four lemons an orange and a hat load mellon fit well in the pouch. I think it would be a tad too small for six oranges and a hat load depending on how close your audience is, and if you use the pouch for other props, etc.
Good experience. Too bad it's getting colder Sad
