Hey guys, my Mendozas have a nice golden colored patina but there is a black line above and below the shoulder beads and also above the mouth bead. I was just wondering if this is something I should be concerned about? Thanks

Clay I would say no… you might want to wash them with Dawn brand dish soap or alcohol (will not remove the patina) and see what happens. It could be just where dirt wants to collect (stick to). Cups seem to want to darken in differently around the beads… at least that is what I see.

I am sure Bill Palmer will write if he has a different opinion.

Take care,
Bruce

Clay,

This may also be residue of polish or buffing agent.
