Busking Pouches and Servantes

Hey guys, I am wanting to start busking and I have an important decision to make: Busking Pouch or Servante. I don't like the idea of a pouch around my waist where everybody can see me reaching into it. I just feel like it raises suspicions in the spectators' minds. I guess what I am really asking is what are key components of a Pouch/Servante. My grandpa owns a tack shop and makes everything from saddles to document pouches to bags to attach to a motorcycle and i was going to see if he could help me but I don't know what key components to use in the construction. Obviously if he helped me it would be leather. If he can't help me for some reason, can i use a waist busking pouch as a servante? any advice or comments would be great. thanks

Having worked with both, I can tell you that a pouch beats the heck out of a servante for most purposes. Most of your steals from the pouch will be done while you are behind a table. The table provides some cover for the work, at least from the front. There are also ways to mask the sides.
You can use a servante, and in fact, the Ambitious Card has a dandy pouch that is set up to be used as a table servante.
Get Kozmo's DVD on busking.
