I'm curious if you guys actually do the verbal patter when you're home practicing.
I usually do not, but I wonder if it's a mild disservice not to go through a routine as if it were a complete dress rehearsal.
I find just doing the moves somewhat therapeutic so I often treat it as such .
Plus I find the patter odd to do with no one there.
Any thoughts?

Jasper… I am kind of like you practicing silently for therapeutic reasons… I will run through a routine with the patter at least once a week to keep the rhythm going. I will also spend time just doing a move.

Jasper, the best way for me is to say the patter as many times as possible... even though I say quitely to my self. so, as Bruce said, you can get the rhythm goin and you can feel which part of your routine you can pace up or slow down a bit.

Just try to know your routine well and that can be accomplished through the practice of the routine.

Good luck with it

Cheers
