Between you, Bri and I… we must not be able to keep an audience. Many non members check in, very few new members really stick with it. Sean (Mad Man) where are you? Your peps miss you.

As a new member I hope to see more activity. I've seen some great topics discussed here. However, most are from a while ago.
Come on people, lets get into it!

Way to go Wes, step right up… what is on your mind? You mentioned that you use Cups in your performance and that you have a publicity photo (to me that means you are a working magician)… what kind of magic do you do and who has influenced your C&B routines?
I started with Mark Wilson’s and like others migrated to Vernon’s routine.

Wes and Bruce --- Sure would be nice if this forum took off again. Are we boring everyone to death? Sean flew the coop. All the regulars are gone. I don't know how to bring it up to speed again.
Wes, I'm like Bruce, a collector. Except I stopped after three sets!
Too chicken to show off any more, but I still like the Cups.
Do you have a website?

Maybe we can all agree on a routine of some sorts or move and discuss it in the Secret Session… I know I could use help with a wand spin vanish.
Just a thought,
Bruce

Me too, Bruce. It's a smooth move, and I have no idea how to do it.
Andre, glad to see you on the forum again!

Any suggestions…
If we can agree on something by this SAT maybe we can start next week. Also Tom Fenton is in and will participate.
Thanks,

Glad to see some activity here again!
Welcome Wes!
Bruce - As Bri can attest my issue is the Drummer's spin. Never had a problem with the Vernon/Mora spin though.
I'm up for helping get things moving here again!
Talk soon,
Doug

Wow! This really took off, that's awsome!
Thanks to everyone for all the welcomes!
Bruce, you asked if I'm a working magician, and what was my influence for the C&B.
Yes I am working, however right now it's mostly as a Busker on the Freemont Street Expierence in LV. I've had better gigs in the past such as Jekyll & Hyde's in NYC, and Caesars Magical Empire in LV. (there I was the C&B man) However, at this time there are many magicians in LV and very few jobs. I do still get some bookings for private parties, corporate events etc., however not as often as I'd like. So I'm working the street, it isn't easy, but I am working and having fun.
As for my influence for the C&B, I was most fortunate when I was 13 I got to see Dai Vernon live! I was 5 feet away watching him do the cups. I was so impressed I went right out, bought the Dai Vernon book of magic, and started working on the cups. I worked on this for years before I would show anyone anything. Finally I did get enough confidence to start actually using the cups in my act, and what I do is based on Vernon's routine.
My bigest hold back was the spin drop, which brings us to the current topic, the spin drop. (nice segue ;-)
I have to say if you're trying to learn the spin drop, it's hard to get it out of a book. A workshop could be most helpful!
