Bri has that right.

I can do the Drummer's Wand Spin but a pen around my thumb is totally beyond me.

Cheers for the tips Tom!

I still need to work on this...

The pen spinning thing is beyond me as well. Check out some of the videos on YouTube and I think you'll really be impressed by what people are doing with pen spinning.

With pen, we can reverse the spin in the opposite direction, the wand is too heavy to do that, at least for me.

I had a look at some of those pen spinning videos on YouTube, all they did was make me feel inadequate!

By the way Doug, if you have the book "Williamson's Wonders", there is a good write up of the Drummer's Spin in there.

Is it like the flipping of a pen around the thumb?
Francis

Exactly Francis.

Tom - Thanks for the write up, it is helpful. While I understand the mechanics of the move from your write up, and others like it, for some reason I fail in accurately executing the spin. It seems I either don't flick the wand hard enough to go a full revolution or I flick it so hard that it launches off my hand. I have literally broken two wands attempting this spin.

I will get this and am certain that when I do I am sure I will end up kicking myself for having made it seem so difficult. I think the thing that makes this so frustrating is that the Vernon/Mora spin vanish came very easily to me. I was literally doing it in about 10 minutes. Not the case with the drummer's spin though...

Thanks again to all that have offered help with this.

Best,

Doug

Doug,

What can I say that won't offend you?

Not much really.

It is just practise and experimentation.

Told you that I'd offend.  Roll Eyes

Tom -

Takes much, much more than that to offend me. Right you are... I just need to buckle down and make it happen.
