Since I joined this forum there have not been many new threads. As Groucho  always said" I would never join any club that would have me as a member."  So I will start one.

This is how I became addicted to cups and balls. I have been doing magic only about 1 year. It all started when I saw Lou Holtz do a torn and restore newspaper trick live. I HAD to learn the secret. Well the first time I did, I learned the secret appeal of magic. It is the 4/10th of a second look in peoples eyes  and the expression of "what did I  just see" since that day I have been working with cards , coins  and every sort of thing. I bought an odd magic lot on EBAY and in it were some cups and balls. I tossed them back in the box and forgot about them.  I was going to list them Back on EBAY recently when I said to myself "How do these work?"  That was the beginning of the end. I found Gazzo on youtube, then Ricky Jay, then Paul Danials.....I am now addicted. I could not just learn the cups and balls I bought a new set of RNT2 giant copper cups and have a different set coming. Just finished making a portable table. I  have a collection of giant fruit. I took a Countess Mara jacket to my tailor and had the sleeves cut down.  Anyone want to buy some decks of cards. What does my wife say about all this "Damn that Lou holtz."

Welcome to this forum.  We are all crazy about cups here. I am also pretty new too. Gulagthebear... Welcome and thanks for posting... yes this a rather slow forum, but those that have kept with it are indeed a good group. We have actual performers and those that have Cup Fever... I am in the last category and my wife too dreads the day I discovered Cups... LOL

If you can, please post a photo of you in your costume and table, they sound interesting. Where do you perform and what routine do you work on?

As Francis wrote, TC&BM is the best for getting a quick Cup fix and Francis is kind enough to share his photos.
